Day 01 USA – San Jose
Upon your arrival to the San Jose’s International Airport, clear customs and immigrations and exit the Airport, a representative from our company will meet you and present you with land portion vouchers. He will provide a private overland transfer to your hotel in San Jose (driving time: 30 minutes approximately).
The capital of Costa Rica, San Jose is located in the heart of the Meseta Central or Central Valley. Sitting in the northern region of San Jose province, San Jose sits right in the center of Costa Rica. This central location therefore, allows the capital to have direct access routes to all parts of the country. With a pleasant climate and temperate weather, San Jose province enjoys mild to moderate temperatures throughout the year, hovering around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This near perfect weather thus makes the San Jose province one of the most populated in Costa Rica. Today thousands of visitors seek out the Central Highlands, where coffee-covered mountains lead into a lush green valley.
Day 01-02 San Jose

Day 02 San Jose – Perez Zeledon
Morning overland transfer to the north of the central valley (driving time: 3 hours approximately).
Pérez Zeledón is the name of the 19th canton in the province of San José in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 1,905.51 km², making it the seventh largest of the 81 cantons in the country. It has a population of 130,982. The capital city of the canton is San Isidro de El General. The canton's boundaries are established by the Río Savegre on the northwest, the Río Guabo and a series of coastal mountain ranges on the southwest and south, and the peaks of the highest mountains of the Cordillera de Talamanca (Talamanca Mountain Range) on the east. In the middle of the canton, the Río General, from which the canton's capital city takes its name, runs north to south through a beautiful valley.
Day 02-04 Perez Zeledon

Day 03 Monte Azul
Hike our extensive network of trails, enjoy horseback riding, try your hand at world class bird watching, soak at our local warm springs, engage in community cultural activities or plan a day trip to the nearby beaches of Uvita. Watch the Monkeys play while enjoying a meal at our elegant Café Blue or relax while you take in the view from our hilltop swimming pool. Hotel guests also get the opportunity to be immersed in the arts, as each hotel room and every public space is curated with fine art produced through Monte Azul's Artist in Residency Program. Day 04 Monte Azul - Guanacaste
Morning transfer back to San Jose to connect with a flight to Liberia´s International Airport, upon arrival take a private overland transfer to the Papagayo Bay (driving time: 45 min approx).
Golfo de Papagayo is a newly expanding area on the northern pacific coast of Costa Rica. Many large all-inclusive resorts and other exclusive resorts have started to popup in the Papagayo Gulf in the past years. This area is untamed and very beautiful. If you want to get away from people and experience the nature of Costa Rica at its fullest, this is a great area to explore. Papagayo is located in Guanacaste, close to the Liberia International Airport. Rest and relaxation always go hand in hand in the Gulf of Papagayo, with mesmerizing ocean views and intimate settings and activities, as well as lush tropical greenery at every turn. If you enjoy sunny days, this is your spot. Here you can find large resort developments, as well as small intimate hotels and close proximity to lots of national parks such as Santa Rosa and Rincon de la Vieja. Traditionally known as a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers, Papagayo is also a charming experience for those interested in relaxation and fun. Papagayo's beaches comply with most of the requirements upon which a good beach is usually judged. Water quality, views, texture of sand and the limited presence of mosquitoes and other pests are probably the most specified criteria.
Day 04-07 Guanacaste

Four Seasons is positioned on Costa Rica’s northwest Pacific coast within the province of Guanacaste. Though it’s the country’s second-largest province by area, Guanacaste is the least populated, offering a calm, peaceful ambience. The pampas – or prairie – landscape is an unusual mix of grassy savannahs, immense cattle ranches and tropical dry forest, backed by volcanic mountain ranges. Guanacaste also offers some of the country’s best beaches – with shores stretching about 160 kilometers (99 miles) from the border with Nicaragua to the tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Some beaches have been declared protected breeding grounds for the leatherback sea turtle. Four Seasons is located on exclusive Peninsula Papagayo, a master-planned resort community encompassing 930 hectares (2,300 acres). This secluded natural sanctuary provides abundant opportunities to experience eco-adventure on land and in the water.
Day 05 Guanacaste
Enjoy a full day visit to the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, is one of Costa Rica’s most diverse ecological parks. Known for its stunning diversity of flora and fauna, this national park is home to two volcanoes, the Rincon de la Vieja and the Santa Maria, as well as six different volcanic peaks, and thirty two rivers and streams. Boasting fantastic sceneries, beautiful waterfalls, soothing hot springs, boiling mud pits, a fresh water volcanic lagoon, picnic areas and long-winding trails that one can hike or horseback ride, the Parque Nacional Rincon de la Vieja lies roughly 25 km northeast of Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste province.
This national park is divided into two sectors, Las Pailas and Santa Maria. The Pacific slopes of the volcano have distinct dry seasons, while the Caribbean side is wet and lush green. Spread over 14,083 hectares, this park is also the habitat of an impressive array of wildlife, insects and birds like the Spider Monkey, the Blue-crowned Motmot, the Emerald Toucanet, jaguars, cougars and tapirs. Also found in abundance here amidst the verdant vegetation are, Guaria Morada orchids, the national flowers of Costa Rica as well as a plethora of Laurel and Guanacaste trees. Named after a Native American legend, the Rincon de la Vieja is actually an active volcano that is over a million years old. It last spewed ash and lava down its sides in 1991. However, it has not erupted since 1983. A one-day climb to the top of the volcano hikers is treated to striking views of the Nicoya Peninsula and the Lago de Nicaragua from here. Higher than the summit and weather permitting, tourists can view the beautiful Los Jilgueros Lake that lies within the boundaries of the Von Seeback, the main crater of the Rincon de la Vieja. If you plan on hiking up the volcano, do remember to take plenty of drinking water as well as a light coat as the weather can change closer to the summit.
Day 06 Guanacaste
Free day to relax on the beach and enjoy the Resort facilities.
Day 07 Guanacaste – San Jose
Free morning to explore the area on your own or just relax taking advantage of the hotel facilities. In the afternoon a private overland transfer will take you back to the central valley (driving time: 5 hours approx).
Day 07-08 San Jose
1 night´s accommodations in the San Jose outskirts at the Xandary Plantation Hotel (double prima) or similar (breakfast included).
Xandari Resort & Spa is a tropical paradise of 22 individually designed villas nestled on a 40 acre plantation overlooking the Central Valley of Costa Rica, and only 20 minutes from the San Jose International Airport. Day 08 San Jose – USA
Departure transfer back to the International Airport on time to take your flight back home. Due to local regulations, international travelers need to check in around 3 hours before flight departure. End of services.
