Located in El Cacao de Alajuela, skirting the Poas Volcano, Asclepios, (honoring the Greek God of Health) offers its guests 12 rooms which evoke the most important medical traditions of the world, together with a regulated ionized swimming pool, amphitheatre, fitness center, exercise pavilion, sauna, hammam, nature paths, 8 treatment lodges and a relaxation room.

We work with a team of highly skilled spa therapists and another team of selected holistic practitioners from all over the world.  We have put together a great understanding and passion for physical, emotional and spiritual health resulting in great wellbeing.  We care not only about ourselves, but also about our community and our environment.

Asclepios seeks to educate in environmental appreciation and conservation.  Our Center will not compromise our natural habitat: it only occupies 20000 square feet in an area comprising 12,500 acres.  It is built in siding and brick, two ecological and renewable materials.  The hotel  uses thermal solar collectors and water recirculation systems.  Asclepios take advantage of natural ventilation and natural lighting.  Wild life has been preserved and primary and secondary forests are  untouched.  They cultivate a wonderful organic farm and are working together with experts to reintroduce native plants and animals that have been driven out by alien species.
